The rushing decent through the rhetoric of a spanish philosopher while spiraling downward in lethargic bliss has opened my eyes from blind optimism to stark realities.
We're here for a fucking long time.
Physical reactions now. Headaches bounce between my temples from the smog and sounds. Bruises on my hips from the shallow mattress in our hostel. No sleep for the generator outside my window. Legs cramped from the hours of aimless lost walking.
Cold feet, home sick.
But we are meeting with some of the kids tomorrow, so hopefully when we start doing what we came here to do, things will be better.
